About The Position

The Universal Banker provides timely and efficient completion of client transactions, maintains accurate records, and properly handles assigned funds. The role delivers quality service by identifying and understanding clients’ financial needs. It is cross-trained to support sales and service activities, especially outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. This is a regular, part-time position scheduled for 20 hours, on the first shift, in Calhoun.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller, cash handling, or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship-building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Ability to master the PC keyboard and software skills needed for branch automation.
• Ability to multitask under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel as required to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnight stays may be included.

Nice To Haves

• One year of client relationship-building or sales experience.
• Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
• General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience through courteous engagement, conducting standardized and complex transactions, and identifying client needs; handle complex transactions with assistance as needed.
• Educate clients about ATMs, online banking, and mobile banking to support digital self-service.
• Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking client offers, identifying needs and opportunities, fulfilling needs, or referring clients to appropriate team members or specialists.
• Use Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to connect clients with Truist expertise and solutions for their needs.
• Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
• Advance individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings and required training.
• Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay informed of policy and procedure changes.
• Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offer relevant products and services, and handle work in proportion to branch demands.
