Universal Banker - Part Time (20 hrs.) - Saturday Required - Forestville
About The Position
The Universal Banker position is a part-time role (20 hours per week) that requires Saturday availability. This role focuses on providing excellent client service by efficiently completing transactions, identifying client needs, and supporting sales activities. The Universal Banker will also educate clients on digital banking solutions, participate in outbound calling, and understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles. Continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution are also key aspects of the position. The role involves assisting with complex transactions and potentially traveling to other branches for staffing needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
- Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
- Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours
Nice To Haves
- One year of client relationship building or sales experience
- Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
- General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
Responsibilities
- Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
- Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
- Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs.
- Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise.
- Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings and training.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
- Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.
- Handle a proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
- Assist with complex transactions as necessary.
- Travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required.
