About The Position
The Universal Banker is an entry-level position that assists with sales, product, and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role aims to foster customer relationships, build loyalty, and help increase sales to individual consumer clients. The position is part-time, based at the Tustin branch in California, and listed as 20 hours. The full-time annual salary range is $47,510 to $61,990 and is prorated for part-time hires; the corresponding hourly rate is $22.84 to $29.80. Additional eligible compensation may include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards. Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Previous retail banking or similar experience required.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic account opening for existing customers.
- Provide service to internal and external customers to resolve account service issues.
- Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
- Create sales opportunities through service transactions and promptly and effectively resolve customer complaints and issues.
- Support branch sales and service activities by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives.
- Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, to safeguard customer and bank assets.
- Assess risk in business decisions, consider the firm's reputation and the safeguarding of Citi, client, and bank assets, comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, apply sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
