About The Position

The Universal Banker I performs a variety of operational banking duties to support the assigned branch in meeting its service and sales goals while delivering high-quality customer service. The role includes branch operations, opening personal and business accounts, building customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and participating in community and bank events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a retail or customer service position.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Thorough attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of prior retail banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform branch operational procedures, including check cashing, deposit taking, debit card issuance, branch opening and closing, audit and compliance requirements, and coin machine, vault, and ATM management.
• Open new personal and business accounts.
• Foster a customer-centric culture and provide customers with a memorable experience.
• Identify sales opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships.
• Collaborate with branch management and internal business partners to uncover customer needs and make referrals to cross-sell products and services.
• Understand and follow control procedures and compliance policies related to day-to-day duties.
• Participate actively in the community and in community and bank events.
