About The Position

The Unit Supervisor is responsible for ensuring high-quality care and supervision of clients and staff in a residential setting. This role supports the Residential Treatment Supervisor in day-to-day operations, staff development, and compliance with treatment and documentation standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, therapeutic insight, and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team.
Strong communication, organizational, and crisis management skills.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must pass a DHS background study and meet agency training requirements.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or related field preferred.
Minimum two years' experience in a residential treatment setting preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and guidance to unit staff, including training and performance evaluations.
Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with clinical staff.
Maintain a therapeutic, safe, and structured environment for youth.
Coordinate program activities including discharges, intakes, and client transports.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and reports.
Administer medications and maintain client medical records per guidelines.
Actively participate in treatment reviews, staff meetings, and supervisor processes.
Support staff in crisis intervention and de-escalation of volatile situations.
