About The Position

New Horizon Foods is seeking a Unit Services Manager in Rochester Hills, Michigan, to lead dining department operations and guide a team toward departmental goals. The role involves day-to-day kitchen management, food preparation and service, and management of environmental services (EVS) operations and staff. The position is at a new building and has no late nights. New Horizon Foods is a dining contract company that tailors services to each location and client, has operated for more than 30 years, and works in more than 10 states.

Requirements

• Prior culinary experience.
• Prior experience running the day-to-day operations of a kitchen.
• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EVS.

Responsibilities

• Develop menus within provided guidelines.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory.
• Hire and develop team members.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and appetizingly.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Manage day-to-day EVS services and staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other management and the client.
