The Lunder 8 unit in Neurology is seeking a Unit Coordinator to provide administrative support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff. This role functions as the liaison between the patient, visitors, and clinicians. The Unit Coordinator is expected to effectively organize priorities, complete tasks on time, and manage confidential patient information. This role partners with nursing to coordinate the day-to-day patient flow, including communication to key players regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. The position requires outstanding service for every customer interaction. Actual job duties may vary by department. This is an onsite position with mandatory weekend shifts every month and holiday rotating schedule. The unit cares for a diverse patient population with neuro-medical and neurosurgical conditions, including neuro-oncology and epilepsy-monitored needs.
