The Unit Coordinator will assist with maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions, and applying appropriate emotional and physical support. The role will perform or assist with the admission of new patients by gathering routine information for nursing assessment, searching patients and belongings for contraband, and documenting belongings and other appropriate information. The Unit Coordinator also orients the patient and patient's family to the facility and its policies and procedures, and assists with leading daily unit-based groups. This position will float as needed to other units based on needs to include crisis stabilization, acute inpatient adult, and acute inpatient adolescent programs.
