About The Position

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Unit Manager and as a member of a patient care team, the Unit Aide performs routine, delegated tasks involving supplies, equipment care, and errands. The role responds to basic patient safety, comfort, and request needs. These tasks contribute to meeting patients’ daily needs and supporting the work area, and are performed in accordance with existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. The position reports to the Unit Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions.
• Effective communication skills appropriate to role expectations.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
