About The Position

The Unit Aide is responsible to support the work of the team by ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available for the smooth operation of the clinic and to support care delivery activities. He/she also performs other general duties as requested by the Clinical Leader or delegate to support the work of the team members involved in direct patient care. These duties may include, but are not limited to: maintenance of equipment and furnishings, ordering of supplies, preparing operatories for dental procedures, water testing, flushing water lines, transporting specimens to the lab and general tidying and upkeep of operatories, the waiting room, and emergency kits.

Requirements

  • Minimum grade 12 or GED
  • Ability to organize, and prioritize, maintains the functioning of the unit in an organized, safe and clean manner.
  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment to Family Centered Care
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a health care setting
  • Competency in other languages
