About The Position

CHS Inc. is a global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers, and cooperatives, providing grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers. CHS is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright at its Myrtle Grove terminal. This hands-on role leads and performs the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of terminal machinery and systems. It requires extensive technical expertise in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and leadership in a fast-paced environment. The position is union, and wages are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The listed salary is $34.14.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience working as a millwright in a heavy industrial setting, such as a manufacturing plant, refinery, or mining operation.
Qualification in industrial mechanics.
Expert equipment troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read prints.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance.
Welding skills.
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and otherwise undesirable conditions, including at heights up to 120 feet.

Responsibilities

Execute maintenance, repair, and construction installation work for process and infrastructure equipment.
Maintain the terminal at the highest level of proficiency.
Resolve mechanical problems to keep production operations running and complete qualification.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of plant controls, read prints, and use millwright tools and instruments to complete qualification.
Ensure mechanical safety programs are properly executed.
Troubleshoot machinery throughout the plant and its processes.
Document completed preventive maintenance.
