About The Position

The Millwright works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to help keep equipment in the assigned area in top running condition. The role provides maintenance services throughout the refinery and may be assigned to refinery maintenance, the warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, the garage, or raw sugar maintenance. Work includes mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, routine and preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning and lubrication, and coordination with refinery maintenance and operations personnel to address everyday problems. Reliable and predictable attendance is required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or a service organization.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends on a regular basis.
• High regard for and ownership of personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to perform tasks while wearing required personal protective equipment, such as protective clothing, safety glasses or goggles, and steel-toed boots.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services throughout the refinery.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
• Clean and lubricate mechanical equipment.
• Work with refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
• Work in an assigned maintenance group: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage, or raw sugar maintenance.
• Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
