Requirements

  • Must be able to successfully complete internal skills testing.
  • High School Graduate/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Basic reading, writing, and shop math skills are required including tolerances and angle measurements.
  • Must be able to use calipers, go and no-go gauges, tape rulers, protractors, square, hand and power tools.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Dependability/punctuality.
  • Must be able to obtain Lock Out Tag Out certification upon hire.
  • Physical ability to perform key job duties: Must be able to stand for 10 hrs Must be able to lift 50 lbs (Some position may require lifting up to 75 lbs.) Ability to lift and maneuver bulky product Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift product throughout the assembly process

Responsibilities

  • Works within Standard work, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications to operate equipment and get defined output.
  • Select and install proper tooling and equipment required to produce desired parts.
  • Ensure accurate set-up following company practice and procedures.
  • Performs changeovers to defined standards to meet product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot material and machine problems.
  • Select, inspect and machine material.
  • Use measuring tools for managing product quality within defined parameters of the standard work and quality documentation.
  • Detect and report defective material, improper equipment operations and unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Assure compliance with all related safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement process and other lean initiatives.
  • Understand and participate in achieving departmental and company goals.
  • Serve as a member of the manufacturing team, providing assistance as needed.
