About The Position

Ensures that district premises are safe and secure. Responds to all incoming security calls according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Two years of law enforcement or security experience.
  • Must be willing and able to carry and use all security weapons, to include a firearm.
  • Must be international police mountain bike association (IPMBA) certified or able to become TUSD bicycle certified.
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
  • Must qualify with firearm according to Arizona Police Officer Standard and Training guidelines upon hire.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Must hold a current Arizona Driver’s license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
  • Physical Examination to be done by one of the clinics with which the District contracts (Category B) and sign a Medical History form.
  • Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
  • Post-offer/pre-employment lift test.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work occasional overtime and/or extended duty hours due to the need to cover large scale security, emergency or other unforeseen events.
