About The Position

Under the supervision of the Special Education Director and MIPS Coordinator, the Medicaid Specialist manages the Medicaid claim program for special education services. This role involves coordinating a high volume of data including student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), IEP compliance for Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and provider information. The Specialist will provide training to providers and monitor participation in required Medicaid procedures, serving as the primary point of contact for all Medicaid program activities alongside the MIPS Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND One (1) year of experience in administrative/clerical duties OR Five (5) years of experience or knowledge of administrative/clerical duties
  • One (1) year of experience or knowledge of special education
  • Proficient using Synergy database, and spreadsheet programs
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
  • FBI fingerprint background check
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
