About The Position

This position is responsible for processing and completing assigned crossmatch cases to ensure timely and accurate investigation outcomes. The role involves reviewing and analyzing documentation to identify and calculate overpayments, interviewing claimants and employers, and evaluating evidence to determine if fraud was committed. The investigator will record all actions in case management systems, maintain confidentiality, and prepare case summaries for appeals. On-site attendance is an essential function of this role.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Processes and completes assigned crossmatch cases within established timeframes to ensure timely and accurate investigation outcomes.
  • Reviews and analyzes documentation to identify and calculate overpayments in accordance with applicable laws and agency guidelines.
  • Interviews claimants and employers to obtain necessary information and documentation related to overpayments, fraud investigations, and adjudication processes.
  • Responds to messages and inquiries from claimants and employers in a timely, respectful, and professional manner, maintaining the integrity of the agency’s customer service standards.
  • Evaluates evidence and issues determinations regarding whether a claimant willfully and intentionally committed fraud in obtaining unemployment benefits, in compliance with agency policy and procedures.
  • Records all actions, findings, communications, and determinations in the appropriate case management systems to ensure clear audit trails and compliance with documentation standards.
  • Maintains confidentiality of claimant and employer information in accordance with data protection policies and applicable regulations.
  • Compiles and organizes relevant documentation and case notes in preparation for appeals, providing clear and comprehensive summaries for hearing officers or supervisors.
  • On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.
