About The Position

Underwriting Support Specialists work within the Underwriting team and serve as a key point of contact for appraisal orders, along with other industry partners. Operating in a customer-centric, high-volume environment, this role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken
  • Proven ability to work both independently with a high level of accountability and the ability to shift between several tasks swiftly to provide exceptional customer service
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and time-sensitive team environment, with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and empathy
  • Previous experience delivering superior customer service
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new processes and apply feedback to improve performance
  • Highly proactive and adaptable, with the ability to take initiative and maintain productivity during independent work periods
  • Availability Monday through Friday for rotating shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (Eastern Time)

Nice To Haves

  • College diploma or university degree
  • Experience reviewing real estate appraisals
  • Experience in administrative or customer service-related work
  • Experience extracting, preparing, and analyzing data sets

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on outstanding appraisal orders to ensure quick turnaround times
  • Keep lenders updated on the status of appraisal orders
  • Prepare and distribute reports to the team, as required
  • Demonstrate superior customer service skills through telephone and electronic communications with industry partners, including lenders, brokers and appraisers, while managing concurrent tasks and priorities
  • Support the Underwriting Team through special projects and other operational functions within the Underwriting Centre, as required
  • Provide general administrative services, as required
