Underwriting Support Associate
About The Position
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated individual to join its Underwriting department. The role requires effective communication with policyholders, claimants, agents, and other departments; accurate entry of assigned source documents; interpretation and application of verbal or written instructions to process appropriate transactions; and maintenance of records or policy files according to established guidelines. The associate may also assist with other duties within the department or elsewhere as requested. The company offers a merit-based work-from-home program tied to job responsibilities. After initial in-person training, work-from-home time may be available as determined by the leadership team.
Requirements
- High school education or its equivalent.
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and interpret data.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents, and other departments through verbal or written correspondence.
- Accurately enter assigned source documents.

- Maintain records and policy files according to established guidelines.
