About The Position

The Underwriting Quality Analyst supports the underwriting quality and governance program by performing quality review support, analyzing audit and review data, maintaining reporting and documentation, and helping identify trends, root causes, and process improvement opportunities. The role works closely with auditors, underwriters, compliance, operations, product management, and other stakeholders to improve underwriting accuracy, documentation quality, operational consistency, and adherence to company standards.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in insurance, underwriting support, underwriting operations, data quality, compliance support, or a related environment preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately with large amounts of data and detailed documentation.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify trends or inconsistencies.
  • Project coordination skills with the ability to balance and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using SharePoint, Power BI, workflow tools, or similar reporting/governance platforms.
  • Familiarity with underwriting systems, insurance documentation, or quality assurance workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality review and audit support activities on underwriting transactions, including new business, renewals, notices, endorsements, and other file components, to help assess adherence to underwriting guidelines, rating procedures, documentation standards, applicable regulations, and company policies.
  • Support auditors by compiling review data, validating file information, preparing workpapers, and helping summarize preliminary observations for further review.
  • Analyze quality review results and conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring patterns, operational gaps, training opportunities, and process trends.
  • Prepare audit metrics, quality scorecards, dashboards, reports, and presentations that summarize findings, gaps, deficiencies, and recommended workflow, procedure, or training improvements.
  • Work accurately with large volumes of detailed information and present findings clearly to leadership and business partners.
  • Assist in the development, refinement, review, and maintenance of process maps, Standard Operating Procedures, underwriting reference materials, and training content.
  • Support reporting automation, workflow enhancements, SharePoint content organization, and other tools that improve quality monitoring and governance transparency.
  • Effectively communicate with Argo management, vendor contacts, and key stakeholders within underwriting and support areas to route questions, gather feedback, and encourage process consistency.
  • Maintain department SharePoint sites, including document version control, permissions support, regular underwriting updates, and related communication tools.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as requested.
