About The Position
National Interstate, a member of Great American Insurance Group, is a leading commercial transportation insurer in the nation, offering risk financing solutions across all 50 states. We provide traditional insurance and innovative alternative risk transfer (ART) programs, including group captive programs for niche markets. This internship program provides students with hands-on experience to apply academic skills in a professional setting, explore the insurance industry, and contribute to the business. Interns will gain exposure to various departments, participate in professional development, and shadow different business areas. The internship is scheduled for Summer 2027 and will be based in the Richfield, Ohio office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Math, Statistics, Insurance or Risk Management, Business or Economics.
- Anticipated graduation date ranging from Fall/Winter 2027 to May 2028.
- Prior experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to write reports and defend conclusions.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
