About The Position

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to develop analytical, research, and decision-making skills while working alongside experienced underwriting professionals in a collaborative office environment. Hours: Flexible schedule during the school year 15–30 hours per week during academic semesters Up to 40 hours per week during summer breaks

Requirements

Sophomore or Junior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Basic math and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and organization of underwriting and binding guideline specifications for an upcoming Policy Center implementation
Help create and maintain consolidated underwriting guidelines for independent agents and internal underwriting teams
Research underwriting requirements, evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations
Review information for accuracy and consistency while maintaining strict confidentiality
Participate in special projects and support department initiatives as needed
Collaborate with retail, wholesale, retention, and underwriting professionals across the organization
