About The Position

New Heights Insurance Solutions, a specialty crane, rigging, and specialized transportation (CRST) insurance division, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team. This is a fully remote position, offering a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their insurance career while working alongside AI-enabled tools and systems.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Willingness to learn and work with AI-powered tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote setting

Nice To Haves

Experience with AIM and ImageRight management systems a plus

Responsibilities

Assist underwriters with submission set-up and processing
Respond to coverage inquiries
Review and process endorsements
Support rating functions
Complete general administrative tasks as requested
Assist with audits
Prepare and review premium finance agreements
Review key underwriting documents, including submissions, loss runs, MVRs, CAB reports, and DOT reports
Perform state and federal filing requests
Calculate surplus lines taxes and fees
Follow up on outstanding submissions, quotes, documents, and payments
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to additional job functions as required by the management team
