The successful candidate will provide support to our underwriters through collaboration and performing a variety of administrative duties associated with the underwriting function.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years insurance industry experience, preferably commercial insurance.
High School Diploma required.
English is required.

Nice To Haves

French is an asset.
Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses an asset.

Responsibilities

Completing the entry of new business, endorsements and renewals into the system and issuing policies.
Training and mentoring less experienced staff, as well as assisting team lead or manager with workflow and creation of a team-oriented approach to meeting Regional and Corporate goals.
Ordering risk inspections for underwriters, as requested.
Preparing and maintaining basic file set up documents subject to the underwriter’s approval.
Obtaining additional information from Brokers as required by the Underwriter.
