About The Position

World Business Lenders (WBL) provides short-term, real estate-collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses across the United States that do not have access to traditional financing. The company also services its own loan portfolio and those of third parties, with a focus on managing non-performing loan pools and REO. WBL is a U.S.-based company with a fully remote workforce. The role requires near-zero errors in credit sheets and CRM data entry, basic product knowledge, effective inter-departmental communication, and a solid understanding of underwriting concepts and internal guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (required)
At least 2 years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, lending, or banking
Intermediate MS Excel proficiency
Ability to analyze: Financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), Bank statements, Tax returns
Basic financial modeling capability
Understanding of credit underwriting principles
Strong analytical mindset
High attention to detail
Stress tolerance
Self-learner / ability to work independently
Strong spoken and written English

Nice To Haves

Experience with financial analysis or structured credit work is a big plus

Responsibilities

Get credit analysis ready to help support well-informed credit recommendations.
Review business bank statements, financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements to perform thorough investment analyses.
Work on structuring and underwriting complex credit applications, balancing profitability goals with risk guidelines.
Create financial models that help analyze both individual loan performance and overall portfolio health.
Make sure all loan applications are underwritten following WBL’s underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Prepare underwriting forms (using Excel) and Loan Approval forms for review, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
