About The Position

The Underwriting Account Analyst role is part of the Operations Analyst team, supporting pre and post-sale activities for Underwriting. This hybrid role involves working cross-functionally in a production environment. Key responsibilities include managing Clinical Performance Guarantees (PG) and Rating and Supplemental (RSU) processes, analyzing and reporting on medical and dental census data, and supporting Supplemental Health Solutions Underwriting. The role also involves managing a book of business, performing routine maintenance, issue resolution, completing Rate Action Forms (RAF), and producing year-end settlement financials and Form 5500 reporting. The position requires embracing a high-performance culture, utilizing customer service skills, and participating in projects to drive process improvements.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in customer service, preferably in healthcare or equivalent fields
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, underwriting support, or financial operations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative group
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate end-to-end Non-standard Clinical Performance Guarantee (PG) processes, including intake, business and RFP responses, tracking, and approval.
  • Partner with Sales, Underwriting, Product, and Clinical teams to analyze results and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on PG processes, contract language, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide Medical and Dental Census rating reports by analyzing, scrubbing, coding, and loading census data to support Underwriting rating and quoting activities.
  • Support Supplemental Health Solutions Underwriting through preparation of census files and pre-sale documentation.
  • Manage and maintain a limited book of business.
  • Perform routine maintenance, report preparation and/or issue resolution efficiently.
  • Complete Rate Action Forms (RAF).
  • Interact with matrix partners in the coordination/accurate completion of RAFs to effectively communicate sold plan information.
  • Produce accurate timely year end settlement financials and Form 5500 reporting for our clients.
