About The Position

Mountain West Farm Bureau Insurance is currently hiring for a full-time Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our team. This role assists with evaluating and assessing insurance applications to determine the appropriate coverage and terms for policyholders. This role involves analyzing risk factors, conducting research, and applying underwriting guidelines to make informed decisions. The Underwriter works under the guidance of experienced underwriters to develop a strong foundation in the underwriting process. This full-time position is located at the home-office in Laramie, WY and typically works 40 hours per week between 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday. You can expect a wage of $3,458 - $3,770 per month, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Experience in Microsoft programs.
  • Office experience with emphasis on computer skills.
  • Great Communicator - Effectively reads, writes, and speaks the English language.
