About The Position

FinTrust Connect has partnered with a regional banking institution seeking operational and analytical support talent for a confidential Underwriter Assistant / Commercial Loan Administration opportunity. This role will support a large commercial loan portfolio and assist underwriting teams with portfolio maintenance and borrower financial documentation.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of commercial banking, loan administration, or credit support experience
  • Experience collecting and reviewing borrower financial documentation
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume portfolio activity
  • Strong Excel and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with commercial lending processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio administration, financial statement collection, covenant tracking, and operational credit support functions.
  • Collect borrower financial statements and supporting documentation.
  • Track covenant compliance and portfolio reporting requirements.
  • Support underwriters and portfolio managers with loan administration tasks.
  • Maintain loan data accuracy and document organization.
  • Assist with annual review preparation and portfolio maintenance activities.
  • Communicate with borrowers regarding missing documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Help manage large commercial loan portfolio volumes.
