About The Position

PURIS is seeking a dedicated, team-oriented, driven, and efficient Field Superintendent to join its team. The Superintendent works with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager to plan, coordinate, execute, and track project work. As the company's representative at the project site, the Superintendent directs and coordinates the activities of the trades on site. The role oversees construction to ensure work meets design, budget, and schedule requirements and is appropriately staffed.

Requirements

At least 3 years of civil wet utilities construction experience.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Strong collaboration skills.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and multitask effectively.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to change.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.
Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, and company policies, procedures, and standards.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer a safety program that provides a safe work environment and fosters participation at all levels.
Promote awareness of environmental policies, rules, and potential operational effects, and take steps to comply with requirements and mitigate impacts.
Foster a quality culture and take steps to deliver work that meets company and customer expectations.
Supervise construction to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule and is staffed appropriately.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions, contributing to scheduling, engineering, and material control to meet project objectives.
Direct field supervisors, superintendents, and contractors to support productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance.
Coordinate with on-site teams and subcontractors to resolve problems and support quality, safety, scheduling, and project objectives.
Assist project management with developing and implementing project work plans, procedures, working documents, and standards.
Support corporate safety, quality, and environmental initiatives and maintain a compliant work environment.
Recruit, recommend, and hire qualified individuals to maintain high-performing teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
