About The Position

This is a permanent position for an Underground Miner class 1 – Extraction (Scoop) at the Nunavik work location. The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. The main role of a mechanized shuttle loader (Scoop) operator is to perform extraction in production sites and development galleries as well as loading trucks.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience on both manual and remote-controlled shuttle loaders.
• Completion of mining modules FMTM 1 to 5, 7, and 10.
• Possession of a general explosives permit.
• Valid driver's license.
• Adaptability.
• Good communication skills.
• Work with a diverse and multicultural team.
• Demonstrate autonomy, dynamism, positivity, respect, teamwork, and versatility.
• Be in good physical condition.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining relationships with others.

Nice To Haves

• Holding a Class 1 driver's license.
• Having good knowledge of preventive mechanics.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and enhance our internal communications.

Responsibilities
