About The Position

This is a permanent, unionized position for an Underground Production Miner (Long Hole Driller) in Nunavik. The role involves a demanding work schedule of 11 hours per day for 6 weeks, with 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. Requirements

• DEP in Drilling or experience in a similar position
• Experience on Sandvik drills
• Knowledge of the safe operation of drills
• Valid general explosives permit
• Valid driver's license (class 5) is essential
• Possess FMTM mining modules 1 to 5 and 7

• Bilingualism (French and functional English)

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks according to safety standards in force (Work methods, AST in place and health and safety)
• Execute drilling work in the work sites
• Ensure the inspection of equipment before and after shift
• As needed, perform any other tasks requested by supervisor
