About The Position

South West Plumbing is a well-established company that has served the community for over 40 years. The Underground Install Plumber leads and works alongside the underground install crew on sewer and drain line installations and repairs. The role ensures work meets applicable codes and quality standards, is completed on time, and is performed safely and professionally. It also includes coaching and mentoring helpers, managing job materials and equipment, communicating with customers and internal teams, and assisting with residential plumbing projects as needed. The position pays $60.00 per hour and offers full-time work with a flexible schedule and no on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Valid Washington State Plumber License (PL01 or PL02).
• Experience in underground sewer and drain installation.
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing and excavation codes and regulations.
• Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and operate standard underground plumbing equipment.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Nice To Haves

• Residential service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and work alongside the underground install crew on sewer and drain line installations and repairs.
• Ensure work is performed to code, meets quality standards, and is completed on time.
• Coach, train, and mentor install helpers to develop their skills and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
• Manage materials and equipment so jobs are adequately supplied and tools are in working condition.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers and internal teams.
• Assist with inside residential plumbing projects as needed.
• Minimize call-backs by delivering quality workmanship the first time.
• Follow applicable state and local plumbing codes and company policies.
