About The Position

J. Blanton is hiring an experienced Residential Plumber to perform service and installation work. The role involves plumbing tasks ranging from repairing leaks to installing pipes and maintaining systems that transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids. The successful candidate has thorough knowledge of service plumbing, diagnostics, and customer service, and works efficiently with attention to detail.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in residential plumbing.
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment such as pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, and plungers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly demeanor and patience.
• Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to work in awkward spaces.

Responsibilities

• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes while accounting for existing infrastructure.
• Install and maintain water supply systems.
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines, including leaks.
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets, and related plumbing components.
• Install and maintain water heaters, sump and ejector pumps, backup systems, hose bibbs, and related equipment.
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems, including well-functioning DWV systems.
