About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for undergraduate students enrolled in an electrical engineering, computer engineering, or closely related program at the University of North Dakota. The role involves designing, building, and testing electronic systems for UAS and UGV. The position is 100% remote work unavailable, meaning some time on campus is required. Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check is mandatory. All new hires must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete the required employment eligibility verification form. This position does not support visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Electrical Fundamentals: circuits, power, grounding, signal integrity, sensors, ADCs, PWM, and common serial buses.
  • Programming: working ability in Python.
  • Hands-On Integration: wiring, soldering, using a multimeter and oscilloscope, and connecting sensors or actuators.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate electrical engineering, computer engineering, or closely related program.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test various electronic systems related to UAS and UGV.
  • Other duties as assigned.
