About The Position
The Eberly College of Science - Physics - Cowen Group is looking for a candidate to design, test and implement a muon hodoscope using silicon photomultipliers and plastic scintillator. Also, use hodoscope to track cosmic-ray muons through a Liquid detector. Lastly, to reconstruct muons and determine the pointing resolution of the detector.
Requirements
- Must be a current Penn State student.
- Must be able to design, test and implement a muon hodoscope using silicon photomultipliers and plastic scintillator.
- Must be able to use hodoscope to track cosmic-ray muons through a Liquid detector.
- Must be able to reconstruct muons and determine the pointing resolution of the detector.
