About The Position
The Borland Lab within the Department of Biobehavioral Health is seeking a part-time research assistant to work 4-12 hours per week. This role involves assisting with various laboratory tasks related to research on Syrian hamsters.
Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate student at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the housing and handling of adult Syrian hamsters
- Conduct behavior testing
- Perform brain tissue collection
- Slice brain tissue on the cryostat
- Conduct RNAscope and immunohistochemistry experiments
