About The Position

This position is available only to enrolled American University students. Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions. FWS funds cannot be applied to janitorial, construction, partisan or sectarian positions. The Institute for Innovation in Education is seeking a Research Assistant (RA) for the Sport Major Study project. The RA will support the collection and analysis of data from surveys, student records, and interviews to describe the relationship between athletic performances and academic success. The RA will also manage data security and integrity, develop data dashboards, write and present results of the research.

Requirements

• Must be an enrolled American University student.
• Background in athletics.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all aspects of research design.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data analytics.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in producing publications for presentations or publications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working across and within athletic and academic settings.
• Knowledge of measures of performance in both areas.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
