About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for an undergraduate student at UND. The role involves supporting a public-facing project focused on Ojibwe Language Revitalization. The student will assist in editing and producing the Second Season of 'Ojibwemodaa,' an Ojibwe Language Learning Podcast. This position offers hands-on experience in audio editing, script writing and editing, and potential voice recording opportunities.

Requirements

  • Student who successfully completed IS 232 Ojibwe 1 and IS 235 Ojibwe II
  • Experience in publishing in audio or text format
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Audacity or similar audio recording software
  • Experience with podcasting
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Google software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative script writing and revision using various word processors
  • Maintaining a public document that accompanies each episode
  • Basic audio editing using Audacity
  • Participation in regular meetings with faculty project leader
  • Podcast host website design and maintenance
