About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. Seeking one undergraduate research assistant in History and American Indian Studies to support a public facing project concerning Ojibwe Language Revitalization. Student will help edit and produce the Second Season of Ojibwemodaa an Ojibwe Language Learning Podcast. Gaining hands on experience in audio editing, script writing and editing and possibility of voice recording.

Requirements

  • Student who successfully completed IS 232 Ojibwe 1 and IS 235 Ojibwe II
  • experience in publishing in audio or text format

Nice To Haves

  • experience using audacity or similar Audio recording software
  • experience with podcasting
  • experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as google software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative script writing and revision using various word processors
  • Maintaining a public document that accompanies each episode
  • Basic audio editing using Audacity
  • Participation in regular meetings with faculty project leader
  • Podcast host website design and maintenance
