About The Position

The Undergraduate Program Manager provides leadership and operational oversight of undergraduate programs by managing curriculum and enrollment, supervising program administration, and advancing student engagement initiatives, while leveraging data-driven assessment to continuously enhance program quality, student success, and long-term academic and workforce alignment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior advising experience (typically, a minimum of 2 years)
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of academic programing
  • Knowledge of course scheduling and curriculum planning and modifications
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with and academically advise a highly diverse population of undergraduate students
  • A demonstrated commitment to the education of a diverse undergraduate student body online and in person
  • A strong interest in advising undergraduate students

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight of undergraduate program operations, including curriculum planning, course scheduling, and catalog management
  • Collaborates with department leadership and faculty to assess, develop, and refine undergraduate curriculum to ensure alignment with academic standards and workforce trends
  • Monitors enrollment patterns and make strategic recommendations regarding course offerings and section availability to optimize program delivery and resource utilization
  • Supervises the Undergraduate Program Administrator, providing direction, prioritization, and oversight of programmatic and administrative functions Student Engagement, Outreach & Program Development
  • Leads the design and implementation of undergraduate recruitment, engagement, and retention initiatives across the student lifecycle—from prospective students through graduation
  • Develops and oversees high-impact programs and events (e.g., Fall and Spring Celebration Days, awards ceremonies, community-building initiatives) that enhance student engagement and sense of belonging
  • Strengthens connections with internal and external stakeholders to expand experiential learning, internships, and career development opportunities for students Assessment, Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Establishes and maintains systems for tracking and analyzing undergraduate program data, including enrollment, retention, and student outcomes
  • Leverages data insights to inform strategic decision-making, program improvements, and resource planning
  • Prepares reports and recommendations for department leadership to support continuous improvement and long-term program success
  • Provides strategic leadership for the undergraduate program, integrating comprehensive academic advising with programmatic oversight to support student success, retention, and timely degree completion
  • Develops and implements advising frameworks and student success initiatives aligned with departmental and institutional goals
  • Advises psychology majors and minors on academic planning, degree progression, and career pathways, incorporating experiential learning and post-graduation outcomes
  • Utilizes data-informed approaches to identify trends, proactively intervene with at-risk students, and enhance overall student success and engagement
  • Collaborates with faculty and campus partners to align advising practices with curriculum, student needs, and institutional priorities
  • Oversees advising operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with university policies while maintaining appropriate documentation standards.
