About The Position
ECU Department of Physics is currently seeking several Undergraduate Learning Assistants (LA) for PHYS 2350 and PHYS 2360-Fall 2026. Students must have completed the course for which they will serve as an LA. The commitment is 5 hours per week (three classroom hours, one prep meeting with the instructor, and one hour of individual preparation).
Requirements
- Must have completed the course for which they will serve as an LA.
Responsibilities
- Attend classes within the assigned discipline to interact with students and lead discussions about class material.
- Attend a prep session with the faculty member teaching the class they are serving.
- New LAs must attend an orientation/training session to be held early in the semester.
- Learning Assistants are expected to bring all prepared materials with them to class so they may work with students.
