About The Position

The Fidelity Intern Program (FIDTERN Program) is a full-time, paid, 10-week program designed to offer students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, real-world work and projects as valued members of a dedicated team. The program aims to provide interns with firsthand experience of working at Fidelity full-time, delivering a best-in-class experience that fosters a sense of belonging and community, while providing critical training and development for future associates. The program includes Professional & Financial Development Sessions with exclusive webinars on career and personal growth, led by senior leaders, focusing on professional communication, workplace well-being, and financial literacy. An opt-in mentorship program connects interns with experienced professionals for guidance. Regional events are organized to build connections with leaders and fellow interns through engaging onsite experiences and social outings. Our Audit, Risk, and Compliance groups are responsible for protecting the interests of customers, associates, and Fidelity's brand. Internship opportunities are available in areas such as Corporate Audit, IT Audit, Enterprise Risk, Technology Risk, Enterprise Compliance, Compliance Technology, and Fidelity Global Security (FGS). This role is ideal for candidates interested in playing a key role in protecting the firm, proactively identifying issues, and upholding the ethical standards of the organization. Audit internships are suited for students who are problem solvers, possess intellectual curiosity, and enjoy analyzing information and complex data sets. Interns will gain exposure by working on audits throughout planning, testing/data analysis, and documenting/communicating findings to management. Risk internships are for students interested in the regulatory and operational aspects of managing financial risk, identifying suspicious accounts, and potentially investigating financial crimes. Compliance internships are for students interested in navigating and managing the regulatory landscape, delving into policies and procedures, risk assessment, and reporting. Fidelity Global Security (FGS) internships are for students interested in criminal justice/security and contributing to the safety of Fidelity associates in collaboration with security professionals.

  • Current college student (undergraduate or graduate) who will return to coursework after their summer internship
  • Availability for entire 10-week program from June 7th, 2027 - August 13th, 2027

Responsibilities

  • Working directly on audit throughout planning, testing/data analysis, and documenting plus communicating findings to management.
  • Focusing on the regulatory and operational side of managing financial risk, flagging accounts with suspicious withdrawal/funds, and/or potentially investigate financial crimes.
  • Navigating and managing the regulatory landscape, diving into policies and procedures, risk assessment, and reporting.
  • Contributing to keeping Fidelity associates safe in collaboration with our team of Fidelity security professionals.
