About The Position

InGenius Prep is seeking thoughtful, driven mentors to guide students through the U.S. college and graduate admissions process. This relationship-driven role emphasizes long-term student development, strategic guidance, and mentorship beyond application review. Specialists help students explore academic interests, build extracurricular profiles, develop personal narratives, and prepare competitive applications. The role is fully remote, with flexible scheduling and caseload options. Engagement paths include part-time contract, part-time salaried, and potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

Exceptional writing and communication skills.
Enjoyment of mentoring, coaching, or advising students.
A bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university.
Organization, empathy, and the ability to build trust with students and families.

Nice To Haves

Experience in education, admissions, academic advising, tutoring, consulting, or a related field.
Teaching, admissions, graduate school, or research experience; these are strongly valued but not required.

Responsibilities

Build one-on-one mentoring relationships with students over months or years.
Guide students through college and graduate application strategy.
Help students strengthen their extracurricular, academic, and personal profiles.
Edit essays and provide feedback that supports students’ authentic voices and independent writing skills.
Brainstorm academic, leadership, research, and professional experiences aligned with students’ goals.
Meet remotely with students and families.
Collaborate with fellow mentors and senior team members to support student success.
Manage a flexible caseload based on availability and interests.
