Amgen is offering an undergraduate co-op beginning in January 2027 at its Puerto Rico End-to-End Manufacturing Site. The co-op student will support the Facilities and Engineering department and its Pest Control/Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, gaining practical experience through on-the-job training and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The student will conduct structured field assessments around selected AML buildings to document outdoor conditions that may affect pest activity, such as soil and drainage conditions, water accumulation, trees, and ornamental vegetation. The role also involves gathering and organizing field observations and project information, assisting with assessment methods and tools as approved, and working with program partners and stakeholders to review findings and identify prevention opportunities. The student will prepare maps, inventories, technical summaries, a final report, presentations, and recommendations outlining prioritized observations and next steps. The co-op is expected to work full time and remain enrolled at an accredited college or university after completing the program. The opportunity is for a period of six months to one year, based on program flexibility. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program; sponsorship for future full-time roles is not guaranteed.
