About The Position

Work in the NVH Engineering Department as an Engineering Assistant, directly participating in design investigations and the Engineering Prototype Sales Order process. Assist the department with daily engineering tasks, including customer prototype sales orders, material selection, molding, assembly, testing, data analysis, and support for new product designs and applications. The position also assists with laboratory activities, benchmarking, evaluation of engineering and manufacturing improvements, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Has successfully completed satisfactory progress toward the degree.
• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Write and follow up on assigned customer prototype sales orders.
• Assist in selecting materials and in molding, assembling, and testing prototypes.
• Develop tests; prepare DFMEAs and DVP&Rs; evaluate assemblies; summarize and analyze data; and perform necessary calculations.
• Observe, direct, and assist laboratory technicians across departments as needed.
• Assist engineers with daily tasks related to new product designs and applications.
• Evaluate engineering design improvements, manufacturing processes, and competitive products as required.
• Assist laboratory personnel with developing test fixtures, assembly tooling, and molded samples.
• Support and assist with all aspects of benchmarking.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including the quality management system, BOS, and environmental health and safety requirements.
