About The Position

TopWorx, a division of Emerson Process Management, is seeking an Engineering Co-op to temporarily join its team. The co-op will work under the direction of the Engineering Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer and support engineering activities involving current products, design changes, drawings, manufacturing, and testing. The role works with Materials, Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines and may also involve writing or updating product work instructions. The role is onsite full time during the Spring semester, starting January 2027. Applicants must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Able to work onsite full time during the Spring semester starting January 2027.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist in sustaining engineering of current products.
Coordinate design development and changes within the Engineering Department.
Create finished, shop-ready detail drawings from assembly or layout drawings as requested.
Support product assembly and problem solving in manufacturing and the test lab.
Provide support to drafters, detailers, designers, and engineers as needed.
Work with different disciplines, including Materials, Electrical, and Mechanical.
Write or update product work instructions as needed.
