About The Position

TopWorx, a division of Emerson Process Management and a global leader in valve control and position sensing for the process industries, is seeking an Engineering Co-op to temporarily join its team. The co-op will work onsite full time during the Spring semester starting January 2027, under the direction of the Engineering Manager or a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The role supports engineering work on current products, design development and changes, manufacturing and test-lab problem solving, and documentation.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Able to work onsite full time during the Spring semester starting January 2027.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of mechanical engineering and design.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to be self-directed.

Responsibilities

Assist with sustaining engineering of current products.
Coordinate design development and changes in the Engineering Department.
Create finished, shop-ready detail drawings from assembly or layout drawings as requested.
Support product assembly and problem solving in manufacturing and the test lab.
Provide support to drafters, detailers, designers, and engineers as needed.
Work with different disciplines, including Materials, Electrical, and Mechanical.
Write or update product work instructions as needed.
