The Undergraduate Co-op at Amgen offers students the opportunity to gain industry experience while completing their studies. The part-time co-op runs from August 2026 to December 2026 at our New Albany, OH site. In conjunction with project work, you will have the opportunity for professional development through training sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and various networking events.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of this program.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree concentration in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, or related degree
  • Previous co-op or internship experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability
  • Proven leadership experience on campus (e.g., projects, clubs, organizations, sports)

Responsibilities

  • Working with the engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing teams on packaging line commercial support, and commissioning and qualification support of new packaging lines, leveraging your analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working cross-functionally to identify problems, measure the current state, and develop, present, and implement recommendations.
