The Undercarriage Shop Technician 1 performs basic to moderate diagnosis and repairs on heavy construction equipment undercarriage in a shop environment. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Essential Functions Personally models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Statement. Performs basic repairs on equipment undercarriage and undercarriage components. Operates undercarriage build-up and rebuild machines, and all tooling and machines used in undercarriage rebuilding. Assists in disassembling, cleaning, inspections, repairs, and assembling undercarriage components. Assists in evaluating, measuring, and monitoring of undercarriage conditions. Works as a member of a team to provide basic technical and mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals. Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs. Assists in preparing service reports and any other necessary paperwork. Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order. Performs and completes all tasks with direct supervision. Provides assistance to other Undercarriage Technicians to perform larger jobs. Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Requires regular and punctual employee attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
