About The Position

Our Undercarriage Technician is primarily responsible for providing high quality repairs and reconditioning to respond to customer needs quickly and efficiently while ensuring maximum value for work performed. This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications

Nice To Haves

Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment
Preferred forklift experience
Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with undercarriage components)
Stable work history
Caterpillar experience a plus

Responsibilities

Perform all levels of repair as well as full reconditioning on undercarriage component
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments
Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
Troubleshooting on equipment as required
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs
Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
