About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking Unarmed Security Officers for the Montgomery, AL area. This is a part-time position for the 2nd shift, with a pay rate of $19.57/hr. Weekend and holiday availability is required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. State training and licensing assistance may be available for qualified candidates. Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises. Available Security Officer Positions include Rover (foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior), Gatehouse (greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to the property), and Front Desk (acknowledge and greet guests, customer service, access control, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages).

Requirements

At least 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid state licensing, is mandatory
Valid Driver's License
Valid CPR
Strong customer service skills
Familiarity with report writing
Computer Skills is a plus
Monitoring and surveillance experience
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience is not required however is a PLUS!
Previous experience in security or customer service fields.
